NEW pow2011!!!

Yeah its 2010 and? lol. But yeah, this is the new pow2011, featuring the new skool “grime” artists, Lethal B, JME, Wiley, Chipmunk, 2Face, P Money, Ghetts and Kano (yes, Kano).

I like it, they didnt ruin the beat and the feel of the original Pow, its still a bit hyped, which i thought they would ruin and try make it sound like this “new” grime they’re producing now.

I would have like to see Tempa T, Flirta D or D Double E, but its still good. Take a listen. What do you think?

Look Out For…

Ok, decided to do a post on New things. Stuff to look out for in the new year!

I’m sure a lot of you have had enough of the typical raving night! So its time to look for something a bit different. There’s plenty of comedy shows out there e.g the Sunday Show, Real Deal Comdey Jam etc… Now there’s a new night Courtesy of the TopBoys Chillax [ http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=199434413768&ref=ts ]

Each week they show an old classic feature film e.g Baby Boys, Love & Basketball, followed by a group discussion on a subject to do with the films message or we will have a spoken word/poetry session. Its something different, so definately try and get down there. Even though i haven’t had a chance to go myself (flipping uni) i will! If your a poet or do spoken word Get involved and contact one of the Topboys.

Next up, came across a new producer Sneakie Sly,[ http://www.myspace.com/sneakiesly] Heard his funky beat “house Of Rumble” , mixed with vocals from Mista Silva, Coldsteps, Fret Deezy, Zest, Charmz (R.I.P), Jazzie & Trilla

He is not new, you’ll obviously know him as a Funky Host/ MC, part of Play Entertainment. He’s defo big in the Funky Scene, but he’s coming out with a new sound!  Who knew Mr I Will Be There was emotional lol. Check out Coldsteps [www.twitter.com/coldsteps]  new tune “Never love again”. I hear he has some new music projects coming up so keep a look out for that!

Good friend of mine Shadez [www.twitter.com/shadezthemisfit]; defo someone to look out for in  2010. Take a listen to his music, he aint like a lot of other artists. I know him, he’s pretty weird lol, although he likes the term “creative” lol. Anyway, he’s been doing a lot of university tours and check him out on the Cordless show. I’m not usually a hip-hop/ grime fan, but i have to say, i am actually impressed with Skitz new mixtape. If you don’t know him then a) where have u been? b) Go find out who he is! lol. He’s another member of Play Entertainment so firstly download his mixtape “Case of Skitzophrenia” [http://www.sendspace.com/file/omq6jr] Then b) skip to track “Put it on ya”, listen to it, then go and BOTHER HIM on twitter [www.twitter.com/skitzpe] til he makes the full version!! lol…and then you can listen to the rest of the tracks. I’m loving finer things, “Spartans- buy out the bar (I’m actually confused about the title of that one lol)” and “Scared of me”. Those are definately the two best tracks. Also featured is “up on the level”, EVERYONE knows that tune!! lol. So year defo look out for him…

Miss Therryi, definately in my top 10 of rude people lol. Na, she is SOOO truthful and straight to the point (like moi lol) some people may percieve her as a bitch. But she’s not, she’s just REAL! SHIZZLES BACK ! Ok, not back lol, but you know what i mean.You’ll prolly remember Shizzle [www.twitter.com/shizzlemc] as the sexy one in the “Pull up dat” and his version of “Pum Pum Shorts” lol. He’s got a new tune out called UhRah on the bug Fugative Riddim, so listen to that!
