VMA’s 2010

So last night was the Video Music Awards, i stayed up to watch it live. Why? For the fashion and Drake lol. To be honest, it wasn’t that good. There wasn’t any breath – taking performances, nor I was I happy that drake never won a single award ¬_¬ (kmt),and the host Chelsea Handler, FAILED to make me laugh ONCE. She’s just not funny, and i don’t care what anyone says. I felt the VMA’s needed a performance from Lady Gaga or Beyonce, just to make it a bit spectacular. It was not as good as last years at all. But anyway, let me give you a quick run down of favourite outfits and performances.

Lady Gaga wearing a dress from Alexander McQueen’s last collection (r.i.p), she had several dress changes, including an outfit made out of RAW MEAT. Only Gaga.

Look closely, yes, that is Russel Brand on her nails. Cute init lol. Didnt like her outfit though.

Kesha wearing a bin bag dress. Dress is ok, hair and that fur shawl thing, no. Is it me, or does she always look drugged up? or is that just her “thing”?

Justin Beiber looks hot init! He did a great first VMA performance, and played the drums also. Very talented guy, whether he was miming or not!

Drake looking effortless as usual. Thumbs up.

Justin Timberlake looking how he should! So glad he got rid of that horrible fur on his face!

Hayley Williams of Paramore looking so cute in this dress and pumps. Who’s dress is that?

I just don’t get it. And that’s all I have to say. Their performance together at the pre-show was erm…interesting to say the least. Have a look.

Ashley Greene always looks hot! I just love that dress.

I’ve questioned her wardrobe so many times. This another question. Why Ciara?

This woman has the SEXIEST accent in the history of sexy accents. Just Listen to how sexy she sounds lol. (and listen to how unfunny Chelsea is, she was the host of the vma’s”

I like everything apart from the jacket and his face. (No, he’s not sexy or nice, so sssh)

Robyn, this is the worst outfit I've ever seen. Ever.

Cher wore her infamous uni-tard again at the age of 64! If i look dat good at 64, i would rock it too! lol

Well everyone knows what Kanye West done to Taylor Swift last years VMA’s. ( “I’m sorry to interrupt you, but Beyonce had the best video of all time” remember that?) Well they both took different approaches to that. Taylor Swift basically wanted more sympathy, and Kanye admit he was a “douchbag”. Take a listen.

Personally, not too sure how i feel about the song yet. It could potentially grow on me though. The video is HOT. Outfits on point as usual. She never fails and puts a lot of her female competitors to shame when it comes to Classy and sexy videos.

Lady Gaga & Beyonce -Telephone!

This has been such a highly anticipated Video! The release has been put back SOOO many times… But Here It Is!

The video is very interesting; However it has NOTHING to do with the actual song except for a few telephones in Gaga’s head lol; not quite sure why they killing people, but it looks fabulous lol.

The styling/costume designs are amazing, Gaga and Beyonce looked amazing.

Overall i think its another great video from these two ladies.  And it says “To Be Continued..” at the end, so maybe another video in the pipeline from these two??

Grammys 2010

Just finished watching the Grammys 2010 (www.grammy.com) …First time ive ever really bothered to watch the actual show lol. I wasn’t particularly impressed to be honest…

Performance of the night HAS to go to DRAKE, LIL WAYNE and EMINEM. I stayed up specifically to see Drake, and he never failed to entertain me. Eminem KILLED it. Love his bit in “Forever” I think its amazing that he was nominated and hasn’t even got an album out yet! Sad shame he never won tho!

The most entertaining performance was Pink’s…She was doing her acrobat thing again..Looked amazing

Wasnt too impressed with Beyonce’s performance, it was quite boring to be honest. But she had an amazing outfit! However…She never thanked God in her speech which is what she used to do but we just say nada in that topic…

Maxwell did a lovely performance of Pretty wings (i used to DETESTE that song, but im secretly liking it lol) And there was a tribute for Michael Jackson (r.i.p) Not the best of tributes, but his kids were there to collect his award.

Now on to the CLOTHES! Which is the real reason why i watched it….

Imma start off with Miss Gaga…Never fails to draw attention to herself lol…i do love her though!

Cannot lie Rihanna’s dress was quite cute, a bit heavy on the eye make up tho…

Keri Hilson looked H.O.T…Its a shame she never won anything. I sincerely think she deserved an award.

Mya Looking stunning as always! People are going to start speculating that their a couple now (or are they? i don’t know lol)

Not Sure what ciara’s been playing at lately…Why ? Her stylist should be sacked, and she must invest into a MIRROR immediately!

Taylor Swift won album of the year…Not quite sure WHY but this is what happens when 10 year olds have too much pocket money and can buy albums. Tut Tut Tut…Nice dress though.

*Sighs* What was Ke$ha thinking?? She looked Drugged…

Didn’t like this dress Katy Perry was wearing, i usually love her outfits…but im not feeling it!

Everyone looked fabulous (or attempted to anyway) But this is how Akon turned up? I dunno what event he thought he was going to. I hope this picture was taken BEFORE he got dressed.

Natural Beauty & Airbrushing Pt1

This is such an interesting topic in this day and age. We have access to absolute everything to change the way we look. Does natural beauty exist anymore? There is a thin line between natural beauty, enhanced beauty, and fake beauty..Let me explain.

This is the difference (personally), Girls who wear mascara, eyeliner, wonderbras, tighter clothing, heels, TRACKS of weave( not full head, just couple tracks), botox etc are ENHANCING their beauty. It doesnt change them totally, it just makes them look better. These things can be removed and doesn’t make THAT much of a difference, but it makes us women feel alot better when we go out.

FAKE beauty is (to me anyway) concealer, foundation, bleaching, breast implants, false eyelashes, weave (full head, multicoloured shit on your head piece) etc…these things can change they way someone looks 100%…take them things away, and your left with someone unrecognisable!

Regarding to AIRBRUSHING…if your pic is not being used for publications (modelling, etc) then, why are you airbrushing? People don’t expect you to be perfect. If you only have airbrushed, photoshopped pics on your FB/ Myspace then i’m going to assume you are not that good looking. Your giving people a false representation of what you REALLY look like! We live in an airbrushed world, with a false pretence on what females are supposed to look like. Ignore this! They do NOT really look like this! And Neither should we!

Ladies, we have to appreciate who we are, everyone has flaws, we’re NOT perfect. HOWEVER, if you are truely unhappy with how you look, and you feel reverting to the fake methods on beauty will make YOU feel better, then you do whatever you have to do. But Don’t change the way you look because SOMEONE ELSE has commented on how you look or because you feel you don’t look like them ladies in the magazines!

I am going to be touching up on the topic in the future! its such a big issue within todays media etc.

But Hold tight all my ladies who feel BEAUTIFUL, naturally, enhanced, or fake. IF you YOU feel good about yourself, then no one else’s opinion matters!

Jimmy Choo @ H&M C&P – 25/10/09

Awaiting the release of the Jimmy Choo collection at H&M…Am i excited? Not sure lol.

I was excited when i first read that it was coming out. A chance to get a Pair of JC! but then i’m thinking. Why should i buy a pair just because it is more available, when i could just buy a normal pair?? Why get the pair of heels i know THOUSANDS of other girls will be wearing?? I HATE wearing the same thing as other people. So will buying a pair be a smart decision??

I shall see when I see the Full Collection.
