Anuvahood

So you’ve probably heard about the new ‘Urban’ (I hate that word with a passion btw) comedy Anuvahood, basically a spoof of Kidulthood and Adulthood. Written by Adam Deacon (you know that guy who takes acting ‘hood’ to a next level). If you haven’t, watch the trailer…
Now don’t read any further if you don’t want to know about the film….
It was incredibly predictable, as you would assume. Another movie about Londons streets. Expect the over usage of slang (blud, fam and cuz all in one sentence yano), smoking (too much) weed, gang violence, sex scene (all i can say is, ketchup and toes. Not something I want to see ever again!) and obviously it wouldn’t be complete without a gun right?
I wouldn’t say i was disappointed, because it served its purpose, it made me laugh. Sometimes. I was disappointed in Richard Blackwoods scenes, this guy is SOOO funny, but put him in a film and its just cringing.Sad. You got Eddie Kadi playing the Nigerian Ticket Inspector which is funny to an extent as i have already heard him do this too many times (think “double yellow lines” lol). Jazzie was hilarious as you would imagine, over did it a few times, but nonetheless entertaining. Ashley Walters played a great crackhead! I think he should have been in it more. The funniest scene is still the “Prutellas” scene, hilarious! Overall, a decent film, if it came on channel 4 i would watch it again lol.
Anyway, i wont ruin it all for you lol. I would suggest, everyone wait til Orange Wednesdays or use some other form of discount just so you don’t feel disappointed (everything is so much better when it’s cheaper init lol) and also stay til the end of the credits, there’s a funny bit (potentially the 2nd best scene in the movie). That is all. Enjoy

P.S Don’t be fooled by the poster guys, that girl in the picture is in the film for about 3minutes. I don’t even know why she is on the poster much less the front! lol.
